I went food shopping yesterday. First I browsed in the fruits section aisle. And I saw plenty of
cherries. They were very affordable. Maybe it's cherry season. They used to be $6 per pound and now they're only $3. So I bought 2 boxes. I really miss them. Obviously, cherries are so delicious but not only that they're also considered a healing food. According to
Barry Fox, Ph.D., cherries can "protect the body against the damage caused by free radicals, and enhance the body's ability to deal with carcinogens, viruses, and other troubling substances" because cherries have
"anthocyanidins and
proanthocyanidins, two types of
flavonoids" that "help move
vitamin C into the body's cells, and . . . keep the blood-carrying capillaries and the joints strong." (
Foods to Heal By, p. 129, emphasis supplied).

i loooove cherries!
I love cherry flavored lipgloss and bubble gum.
Haven't seen fresh cherries in supermarkets fruit section, only cherries in can. If there happen to be available, it'll be expensive.
