Not to disparage any other supplement, but CoQ10 is one of my favorites. The reason is that it not only helps the heart, fat metabolism, antioxidant status, and recovery from physical workouts, but it also boosts your mood and adds to alertness and intelligence. These latter effects are subtle, not felt by everyone, and vary from user to user. For my own purposes, I avoid taking CoQ10 at night, if I can, because it's almost as stimulating as coffee. The CoQ10 molecule is available inexpensively in your local drug store in easy to take capsules. The latest research indicates CoQ10 is also effective in reducing the severity and incidence of migraine headaches.
