Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television
I never watch television. Oh, all right, that's not true. I watch a little now and then; maybe a total of ten minutes a week. I sometimes go long stretches of time without any television whatsoever. I don't think this is necessarily good or bad. But I did read a book when I was in my teens or twenties, Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television by Jerry Mander. The book made a lot of sense to me. But when I do deign to watch television, I always like to keep far away from the front and side of the screen, to avoid harmful electromagnetic radiation. And I like to sit on comfortable tv furniture.
