Sugar and Spice and Some Protein

For those who want a carbohydrate and protein meal with no fat you might wish to consider the latest fad called the Medifast diet. Typical packages contain more carbs than protein (12 vs 11 grams, for example) and 0 grams fat. How this will work in the real work is not hard to imagine. The protein is not the problem, but the lack of fat and the addition of carbs goes counter to all that has been written about the danger of spiking insulin and causing diabetes with excess sugar and carbs.
