You Probably Aren't Getting Enough Vitamin D

The reason is that as we age the body becomes less efficient at converting sunlight into Vitamin D. Moreover, those living north of the Southern states (say, from South Carolina north) are not getting enough sunlight in the winter. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked with almost every disease, including cancer and flu.1 Good health depends on taking at least 5,000 IU of vitamin D daily. Also recommended is a blood test for Vitamin D level. References
