Grapefruit Increases Risk of Breast Cancer

Grapefruit juice contains a substance that increases plasma estrogen, which in turn leads to a greater risk of breast cancer. Researchers said, "An increased risk of similar magnitude was seen in users of oestrogen therapy."1

Your post is very informative, it's sad to know that a fruit like this would trigger such illness. I've got to say, knowing the side-effects of the food you eat is really important.

Yes, you are correct, it is important to know the side effects of various foods. I feel, however, that eating a few grapefruit occasionally, will not cause problems in most people.
